LAN is an abbreviation for Local Area Network, which means a number of things, like the network between two PCs in your own home, or an event with multiple PCs connected for gaming parties and competitions with multiple players!
LoeLan was first created in a living room eight men strong back in 2004, which quickly grew to be a large event. After a recess since 2009, we have decided to recreate what were some of our greatest experiences! LoeLan organises so-called "LanParties". Up to 64 people gather in one location, usually in our comfy office space in Haarlem, where gaming devices will be installed in bulk; all connected to eachother and the net.
The first newly skinned LoeLan will open the doors @ 10.00 (AM) on December 22nd. Quickly following the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it will be no surprise that that will be the main event!
Set a reminder for the opening through google calendar:

In order to appeal to as many gamers as possible, multiple games will be featured in a competition each event.
Not only triple-A titles, but also some indie games, like our personal favourite Hedgewars, and other fun stuff like Table Tennis or Tabletop Football could be extra additions to LoeLan!
Also look out for other random surprise events ;)
As the events will last the entire day, we will arrange for pizza on-site during the designated lunch-break.
Joining the event will require registration, which can be done with the form below, as well as a small contribution of €15,- to keep LoeLan going.
Besides the attendance fee, you can apply for any number of competitions you want free of charge, you can even choose to only watch!
Every competition can have up to 32 participants, so be quick!
The venue is located on the 5th floor of the office building on Schipholweg 1 in Haarlem.
There are entrances on both sides of the building: along Schipholweg, as well as along J.J. Hamelinkstraat.
